In the life-long quest of figuring out what I want to be when I grow up, I’ve made a few strides toward an answer. I want to learn. I need to be creative (medium does not matter). I want to give back.
What I’m doing here is trying to meet those three needs. Fine art, illustration, design, and copywriting will flesh out the creative element. Learning will feed teaching, which I hope will be a way to give back. I’ve worn a few hats and taken the long route enough times, that I believe I can help others get somewhere a bit more quickly and less painfully.
I took several stabs at logos for this site, finally going back to my roots and to things I love (pencils, scissors, hot color against neutral), things that bring me comfort and make me smile.
While a logo for creativity could be wild and highly energetic, those doen’t fit me. My personal creative experience is more Zen—quiet the mind, open the senses, let it brew, then watch it flow. Cutting loose is a simple letting go of precepts and constraints. No drama necessary.
